Model House of Commons

The House of Commons is the official House of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The House is an elected body consisting of 50 MPs. Since the creation of the MHoC in May 2005, hundreds of members have represented their party as MPs in the House.

The House of Commons is a democratically elected chamber with elections held at least every six months, unless the Prime Minister calls one early or there is a coalition breakup.

In the House, items are debated and discussed by all members, both MPs and non-MPs. These items include bills, motions, petitions, amendments, question times, referendums, statements of intent, departmental reviews, statements, motions of [no] confidence and MHoC Awards. All legislation must be passed by the House of Commons to become law.

The 26th Parliamentary Term began in June 2017 and the current composition of the House is as follows:

Government and Official Opposition

The current TSR Government is made up of the Liberal Party and the Libertarian Party.
