|Government of the 23rd Parliament|
The government of the 23rd Parliament was formed following the general election of April 2016. Initially three parties formed the governing coalition, the Conservatives (thirteen seats), the Liberals (eight seats) and the National Liberals (one seat), leaving the Government four seats short of an overall majority. This was later increased to five seats due to the closure of the National Liberals and Labour's win in the subsequent by-election.
